If you have a different bike, you can still use the techniques that i show here. you just might have to use more or less throttle depending on your bike. Hopefully i can help you become a hooligan like myself 😂

I've been doing wheelies on my z900 for a few months and found that holding 40-50% throttle position while accelerating in 2nd til 5500rpm and tapping the clutch will throw you up perfectly. It is a strong throw back so have your foot on the brake, but other than that it is almost perfectly at balance point. good luck!

@@mrpoopypants3619yes, just wouldn’t recommend power wheelies. Better chance of whooping it. I learned originally doing power wheelies and once I got clutch ups I never went back

Every motorcycle has a different weight bias, suspension setup, final drive leverage ratios, etc. They will all behave differently when the front wheel lifts. Many of them will require a lot of force to get the lift started, and progressively much less force after it's inches into the air. It's progressive. Take it easy, take it slow, learn progressively.

Great video man, I have one question, do you advice to start with the KTRC disabled or is it better to have it ON for wheelie beginners?

Keep it off. It will just kill the engine as your wheel starts coming up. Its doable but it just makes things harder

At 5:15, how do you keep it up once the wheel gets to peak? I assume you let off the clutch very briefly then get back on it right away?
@pottertool Жыл бұрын
Dont use the clutch at all once your get your wheel off the ground. Use the throttle to keep it up. If you feel like its too high, let off. If you feel like it needs to go higher give it more
@Goopie48 Жыл бұрын
@@pottertoolOops! Sorry I meant to type "throttle", not "clutch". Thanks for the response. So typically when you clutch up, you're on the throttle a ton, then back off it a bit when it gets too high? How much do you back off? When I clutch up I get to a height that scares me, then I let off a bit but the bike just crashes back down.
@mkx200sx Жыл бұрын
Thats exactly my case to! It goes up fast, nicely and high - and than i dont know what to do. I think if i stay on throttle (not not more, not less) - i will go to high or even flip - since that much of the trottle brought me up pretty quick. But if i let off throttle it just instantly slams on the ground.

Mod is only the breadbox-delete and an SC-Project slip on... all other is stock... Im lucky with my bike or its normal for the older version, i dont know.

I went up 3 teeth in the rear sprocket. Complete animal don't even need clutch in second gear. I'll just stand staggered and ride. If you really want the best experience unhook the front abs sensor zip tie it up. Abs will be fully unlocked.
