Two notes - one that someone else commented and another tip. Some duet washers have this clear in the back of the washer behind the drum. Look for the black set of wires. Second is my machine stopped during the middle of the load. Unplugging this sensor will drain any remaining water in the drum. You should be able to drain the drum first by unplugging the machine, turning off the water and then plugging the machine in. Just set the washer to rinse and the first thing it will do is suck any existing water out of the drum. Thanks for the videio!

Thank you so much for this video. I finally found my temperature sensor in the back instead of the front and the problem was that a wire to the sensor had been severed by being too tight along with the movement of the drum over time. I was close to calling in a repair until this video, and now all it cost me was a few inches of electrical tape.

This is my issue as well. Wire broke clean right where it inserts into the clip. Trying to avoid buying a whole new wiring harness, any suggestions on how to get this wire back in there?

I have a Whirlpool Duet Sport HT washer. My washer stopped in during the spin cycle. I thought maybe it was too heavy a load, but when I ran a diagnostics test on it, it showed F24 error code, so I ordered the correct part (water temperature sensor) and replaced it. However, when I tried to start the machine, it continued to do the same thing it did before, which was to lock the door, show the time for the cycle then sit there. It will not cancel, except it eventually add a garment will flash. BTW I had put two blankets in the drum and tried to do a rinse cycle.

I have an LG front loader. WM2688HWM. Code was tE. I ordered the temperature sensor and I THINK I found where it goes. Mine is located on the top, goes into the box where water comes in and mixes with the soap dispenser. So I don't have to take the front apart which is a ton of work. I will let you know when I get it and if that solves the problem.

Before replacing the sensor check the two leads (wires), they tend to break.

That code is usually related to the inlet thermister and associated wiring. Have you unplugged the unit and let it sit for at least 10 minutes before powering up? You can enter your model number on our website to view the parts diagrams. I did not see a heater or sensor listed in the model number provided. Make sure you get the model number off the appliance, not a book or receipt.

Prob already found it. Its located on back side you can't see it. Just follow the only two black wires to lower backside of barrel.

On my Duet (mod wfw8410sw02) the white bin is nearly flush against the grey / insulated box in front. I can't see that front face of the white bin, no wires going up in there.
