Really happy with your BMPCC videos and your overall approach with this channel. Learning a lot as I settle in with my 6K Pro. Thank you for these informative videos.

Anthony, I love that they're helping in some way. Hearing from someone with experience was huge for me when I first started. Saves so much time and literal heartache.

This video series is fantastic. I wrote, produced, shot, and edited a direct-to-DVD zombie film in 2006 on a Sony Prosumer SD video camera, and I wish I had access to this level of equipment and your videos. It would have been a much different film. Now my BM 6K Pro should be delivered today. I plan to use your videos to do the initial setup. I also plan to purchase your course shortly. Your teaching style is very clear, and the practical advice is invaluable. Thank you!

Man, this is awesome. First, very kind. Thank you. But more than that? I love see people passionate about filmmaking. If you have the drive to do your own direct to DVD film in 2006, you’ve got what it takes to make it. Don’t stop!!!

Thank you Kyler for another clear, articulate and relevant upload. The strength of your channel is that you clearly spell out the topics for discussion, explain the relevant terminology and cover simple and practical solutions to problems in a way that hits the sweet spot in terms of delivery - not too simplistic but not too jargon rich and complex for complex sake. There are WAY too many unhelpful videos on KZbin doing the latter. Keep up the FANTASTIC work and a big hello from Australia!

Australia! So cool. My wife has been, but not me. Thank you so much for the kind words. Means a lot! I’m excited to know that the teaching style is helpful. Do you do narrative film?

Hi again and thanks for the reply. Yes your style is friendly, patient and well paced. Your viewer and subscriber numbers are bound to grow steadily. I loved your video on the Ronin RS3 plus your Blackmagic videos. Australia is a pretty special place, where did your wife visit? My video work is in the university sector, mostly research videos, interviews, events, promotional pieces. I used a Sony FS5 for many years, but recently a BM pocket cinema 6K (not the Pro) with Sigma 18-35mm art lens. Colour correction and grading from BM RAW is something I am still trying to improve @@writedirect

Thanks man...should call you Roy (if seeing the icon right). I'm honestly not sure where my wife visited. She works with Young Living as a brand ambassador and they have farms out there in Darwin and Kununurra. Cool on your work! Bet you learn a lot in the process of shooting that stuff. I worked a video crew shooting people like Darren Hardy, Perry Marshall, etc. You get free training in the process. One of the guys I worked with (Jack Born) just moved his family from the US to Australia. Anyway, thanks so much for your feedback. @@tannhausergate6310

can you recommend me for how I fix problem the battery low quakly what's the staff make the battery still along time
@writedirect
@writedirect Жыл бұрын
You can run your LCD brightness a little lower if indoors. If you’re just using the internal battery, that’s never going to last very long. I would get a SmallRig mount for NP-F batteries.

Is that the Anamorphot on your camera? What taking lens are you using? You should do a video on your experience using it with the pocket 4k.

It’s the Sirui MFT mount anamorphic. I’m about to do a video on the Sirui Saturn lenses using the BMDCC6K.

Awesome. Glad it helped. Exposing to ISO took me forever to figure out. Hahaha.
@robrever
@robrever Жыл бұрын
Is the same true for ISO? Since you can change it in Resolve, do you need to worry about exposing with ISO or can you just focus on aperture and ND/lights?
@writedirect
@writedirect Жыл бұрын
Good question. You need to get your ISO set correctly and expose to that. Changing the color temperature in post is different than changing the ISO. I have a separate video on the channel that dives into exposure more. That might help.

Now you have me curious. The photographer in my wants to dig out my 18% gray card to compare it against a white piece of paper. :-)

Hahaha. I know! When I read that in the Blackmagic Design documentations, I was like "Wait, what?" I have NOT tested that. Need to.

@@writedirect The "grey card" ought to be on an accurate calibrated colour chart that is exposed to the same lighting conditions that you will be shooting under. I've found that not all colour charts are the same quality, some have too much specular reflection.
