Rather than looking at the time, I find it simpler to look at the map and see where the creeps are. I can tell from their position as they're walking up the lane, when to go pull.
@icata123453 жыл бұрын
Btw a question, i notice you always prioritize deny when pulling even if it's double stack, isnt it better to deny but also focus getting few last hits from the pull?
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
It's a little situational, I do try to get last hits when I can. But I typically prioritize lane equilibrium the most when I'm pulling, so I choose denies when I have to

I think I'm at a point where in game 21 minute mark I'd be instantly thinking about spamming team to do roshan after those kills, but I assume no ult and team with little armour reduction they would not be too keen and take a little convincing. What do you reckon RS at 21 mins?
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
I think it could have been an option, but it's going to be really slow without my ult. We would need to go instantly and do a good job balancing the damage tanking. But you can see several people are low, no Chrono or my ult, so I think by the time I could convince my team to do rosh, the timing would have passed already. If sniper just shrapnels, he might pick up a free ult kill and delay us long enough

Great video, can't watch your streams but this videos are treasures :) So which heroes do you think can carry like SS from pos5?
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
I think it depends what style you are going for. Many things can work, but I personally would try to play heroes that can split push well and threaten towers (Shadow Shaman, Jakiro, Nature's Prophet, Treant Protector) or play heroes that can get kills and scale well (Lina, Windranger, Dark Willow, Snapfire). I'll probably make a video on this topic in the near future when I have time!

@Speedygi81 Жыл бұрын
Why aren't you buying any stat items at the start?
@СимеонСемёнов3 жыл бұрын
Why instantly block the hard camp? I feel like whenever I do that, my carry will immediately push the crap out of the lane for the first 2 waves leaving me without a way to recover that with a hard camp pull afterwards. I think it's safer to use the sentry on unblocking your small camp and then body block the hard camp if the lane is "normal", or leave it if it's being pushed into the offlaner.
@hungletuan83023 жыл бұрын
I think the idea is to spend more time protecting your carry in laning. If they has vision in the jungle, they will know that you and your carry have bad positioning, then they can either try to kill you or dive the carry. I usually just body block the hard camp in the first 2-3 minutes then spend time to make sure my carry is safe.
@ZQuixotix3 жыл бұрын
Hmmm if it always happens in your games, then I might leave it open. I personally find "fixing" the lane with a hard pull tends to still be a bit of a losing scenario in the first few minutes because the enemy just gets the wave and the camp. So I'd rather stack the small camp at 2 minutes. In the mean time, I'll try to deny my own creeps and stay in the lane. However, it's definitely something that I can very safely do in my games because carries won't push out the lane too often. It's a bit of a habit, but I think I'd still do it when I'm "smurfing" because I think it's got more positives than downsides
@LeonardoPostacchini3 жыл бұрын
@@ZQuixotix Around my herald games, more often than not the carries like to push the f out of the lane and then feed to the offlane as you are trying to pull the small camp. Still I think it is worth to block the big camp by default, have some salves for the carry and pull/stack the small camp as often as possible. If not for anything because a carry that would push the lane as a madman is one that would give up lane xp/gold for jungling, so the blocking has an extra benefit here taking away that option.

I notice you barely right-click the enemy at the start of lane? Isn't it worth it to auto attack from outside 550 range, get free 2 autos, and then back out again? You don't affect equilibrium and get to spam right clicks on them. Seems like that should be the play instead of waiting around and trying to deny your creeps? Doesn't axe push the lane against you naturally anyway?
@ZQuixotix2 жыл бұрын
I was pretty rusty when I recorded this game, so I could have done better for sure. Looking back on it though, I think it's because Earth Spirit wasn't showing. SS is a slow hero (and I accidentally took Shackle lol), so if I get slowed by Axe and then rolled on by ES, I either die or lose a bunch of health. So staying in a safe position was my top priority. Plus, you'll notice the way the lane played it's not like Void was being harassed too badly, so I didn't need to be up there attacking a bunch
@cybersteel82 жыл бұрын
In the early game, do you always do a stack before a pull? I am trying to learn how to pull and I found that without a stack, the neutral creeps die pretty quickly to the lane creeps, and the lane creeps eventually make it to lane anyway and even end up stacking with the next wave of lane creeps, kinda defeating the purpose of pulling the lane back. So, should I ALWAYS stack before a pull to ensure this doesn't happen, or am I doing the pull incorrectly somehow?
@ZQuixotix2 жыл бұрын
I have a series on Pulling that would provide a lot more information about this question (In particular, Pulling 101 and Pulling 201 I think). But to answer it quickly here, it all depends on your goal and creep equilibrium. If you want to pull without stacking, try learning how to do a half pull. It works with all camps except for the Kobolds. This allows you to pull without stacking first, and your pull does not screw up equilibrium (assuming the 2 lane creeps die at the small camp which they should against all but Kobolds unless you or the enemy does some extra damage). I'm a big fan of half pulling at 1:17 and then stacking at 1:53 as a general plan for any MMR below Immortal. There are a lot more nuances to when you want to pull though. There are cases where it's fine to push the lane, in which case you could do a single full pull at 1:17, and then another at 2:17. Times where you can only play the lane and might consider stacking first if possible.
