Just because you can guess the word, doesn't mean it's possible for the answer to be that word. Out of the 12,000 or so possible guessable words, only about 2,000 or so are possible solutions.

Use them every time. Switch to different words, whenever you think of a combination you like better. The following are good combos, but any other 3 words that use 15 different letters will give you a good shot at knowing the word. ALIEN STORM DUCHY IRATE LONGS DUCHY I always prioritize the letters R-S-T-L-N and A-E-I-O-U. I probably should have just said, "Search youtube for advice on how to do wordle". 😄

I've tried it out on the archive and it seems to be working, although there were quite a few words that are far from trivial. generally repeated letters are a problem and the occasional x because those are not detected with the method (e.g. exult, masse, conic, usher)

There is a similar method which will almost guarantee to get it in 5 guesses which the 4 words are "tubes, fling, champ and wordy" form there you will have most of the letters and you can almost always guess it next guess

I consistently get three, sometimes two guesses. I start with “roast,” then try to figure out where the vowel(s) is/are (usually in the middle slot, sometimes in the second and/or third), then I go for whichever consonant is easiest to guess (for example, if the second blank is H, I know the first is likely T, C, S). Process of elimination from there :)
