Hello there! long time no see. Hope you enjoy and learn a lot from this video. I am very much interested what you think about these tactics and what you experiences are with using them. If you like this, please like and subscribe!
Context:
I've been playing Supremacy1914 for almost 10 years now, yet I only learned about these tactics just as I started uploading videos on KZbin. Having said that, these tactics are not necessary to win, most of the times I choose not to use them myself.
Some in the community debate about whether or not these are exploits. In my opinion, tactics that take advantage of already existing game mechanics and use them to their fullest (with their game design intent) are NOT exploits.
Flower tactic for example simply uses game mechanic which distributes incoming damage between armies that are within attack/splash damage range. The game was designed to have this function, thus using this mechanic to its fullest should be encouraged instead of frowned upon. Teleport on the other hand does use similar simple game mechanic but not with its original purpose. The purpose of merging mechanic is to make merging your armies easier and NOT to increase the speed of the army. In this case, I consider teleport an exploit as it is abusing game mechanic to gain an advantage in a way that it was not designed to.
I hope this makes sense and I am very much interested in what you think about these tactics. If there is enough interest, I might make more tutorials on more tactics.

Love this tactic! I used this tactic on a ratio of 6 to 2 before. My enemy lost his 2 troops in 1 shots easily while I still had all my 6 troops! This is a cool and easy way to save my infantry and deplete my enemy’s infantry!

@@robertocasalegno Yes it's gone. Try it with ai and check it. Flower doesn't work but you can still use the same principle to effectively split good stacks and turn the opponent into mush. Especially defensively.

The promotion link for new players only. Apologies as I did not mention this in the video. - The "Teleport" tactic does not work since the last update. The units still jump slightly forward when using merging, however the jump distance has been reduced significantly which basically renders the tactic useless. - Method 2 for making a flower is not possible anymore, since the "add target" option is removed for the troops that have delay. Method 1 is usable as normal.

I don't know what tactics i use but i attack 2 or more enemy territory at once then stay in the captured territories and send more troops then I attack with 2 forces once the enemies have 1 territory left so they don't have anywhere to escape to i send the 2 forces from different directions to block the path of the enemies so they can't run away and win the last territory now I have 56 provinces

Only sub will remain invisible unless revealed in battle, by spies or patrolling planes. But, if you add at least 1 boat unit with your army at sea, then your infantry and cavs wont lose morale at daychange like usual

They just removed "add target" from all units that have delay, are fighting or (dis)embarking. Method 1 is usable though just as before

Can some one please confirm, is defective, and offensive flower still work? When I split troops using defensive flower in city, it reduces palet strength, shouldn't it keep the same strength as when it was in group? Same with offensive flower.

It still works. The strength of each petal shown will be less due to smaller size, but their total strenght will increase thanks to damage efficiency that they maintain. So in short, the more infnatry you have in a single stack the less damage efficiency they have. You can see the % of damage efficiency when clicking on their logo on PC version of the game

Others try to complicate things and make them more challenging by research trees and more province modifiers compared to supremacy. But since supremacy doesn't have those extra things it forces you to play differently and be more strategic and tactical about your choices. There is a lot more examples i can give but in the end it comes down to preference

All your troops will still fight, so if the enemy is too strong you might lose more troops. As long as your strength is 4 times more than your opponents you should be good (when attacking)

Imagine playing in a tournament and seeing that enemy will be in firing range in 3 hours. Only for you to check in 1 hour and see the enemy teleport his troops in front of you, bomb you and teleport back behind his fortress walls. Supremacy1914 is much like life, painful but it has its moments

So I found a good strategy to combat bots in heavily fortified provinces like a lvl 5 fort I don't know if you can call it a strategy but I just leave a close by province unprotected while having a good army close by so I just lure out a few men one by one and destroy the defense without heavy casualties

I had similar results with lemmings my friend attacked in one stack and had way less casualties than i did with both attacking the same stack size I'm quiet certain none of these really are practicable

I think that's just your fault. You need more troops a lot more than just 10 if your enemy's inf are also 10, if you're going to do offensive flower. Maybe 20~ inf can do the job. The point of offensive flower is that it insta kills and wastes no time in attacking and trying to invade an enemy's territory, but that does not mean that you can use the same amount of inf as your enemy's. At 3:07, he uses 30 inf against 10 inf.

I used the defensive flower to completely slaughter the enemy troops but while attacking with offensive flower there was reinforcement and my troops got annihilated. is it then better to use multiple stacks of troops ?

Offensive flowers are a lot more complicated especially with larger numbers. Trial and error usually helps when it comes to learning it :D

If you are new you might as well try playing normally at first. The offensive flower for example is only effective in specific scenarios, mainly when you want to kill garrison quickly. You will find use for them as you go on, just keep them in mind as tools for your overall strategy

Thank you for sharing. I used this strategy for the first time today with great success. Even a couple instant kills. I might add one enhancement. I used offensive flowers and what I did was set my attack, then split up the flower as u showed, marching just past the target and the next past the previous mark. Doing it this way bypasses having to deal with the delay (at least for offensive flower) and ensures all units are on the same dot. I love your videos man, keep it up.

Glad I could help! :D As for offensive flower, you can split while troops are moving and they stay more or less at the same spot, but from my testing it was not always as accurate as with delay.

If u already set the March how was it getting messed up? Your just continuing their march after you split them just with a new destination...I would think delay could mess u up slightly if you aren’t quick enough to set it. Or you fat finger it, I’ve done that plenty lol. Also for some reason my game has been randomly reloading. So setting it as they march protects me when that happens too, cause they stay in formation and I can pick back up where I left off. Still trying to figure what combos work best. Today has been my first day using the strategy.

For offensive flower, it might work or might not. It depends on the morale and unit composition. In general (i dont remember specific calculations) you need to calculate the total damage of a stack (together with damage efficiency) and compare that to defensive damage of enemy. With that ratio im not sure how well offensive flower will do, but it might work for the 1st round, after which you can just merge your offensive flower making it a normal stack.

Yes :( but also no. The flower mechanic was just using game mechanics mathematics to gain the advantage. you can still do flowers but the research from old version of the game does not apply anymore so you will have to figure out somehow what stack sizes work best

Your army still receives the damage, its just that your unit dont die as fast because the damage gets distributed. This also means that flowers (especially offensive) are not effective in very long battles. I usually use offensive flower to instakill a stack, not necessarily to minimize losses

You did it wrong. You did not have enough troops. Use petals of 5, not 2.

When u do the offensive flower your all troops was in delay when u splited them, I first give the move order to my stack and then give delay order, then I split 1 from my stack and give mover order and it start moving with no delay order. Please help 🙏

They removed Add Target command shortly after the video. you just detach a petal, give it a move order and then very quickly add delay. It takes getting used to but can be done in 1-2 seconds (which is still short enough so that dot remains at the same spot)

offensive flower is made the exact same way as the defensive flower, you just have to make sure that all petals get past the province you are attacking. You just make a flower with any of both methods i described and instead of adding delay at the end you change it to 0 so all the petals march at the same time. As for lemmings, you can make a offensive flower and then cancel delay on each petal every 30 seconds or 2 minutes (depending on how wide you want the gaps to be). you can also just keep a single stack away from a target and detach small petal every 30 sec orso to make lemmings. In short, lemmings is just normal (preferably) small stacks moving past same province with few minutes or seconds gap between them

its basically a flower, but instead of making sure every stack is exactly on the same dot and they attack together, you march towards the enemy 1 by 1. So from a flower you order 1 stack to move, wait 30 seconds or 2 min orso and order another stack to move. This creates train like movement, so lemmings.

When you attack there is no splash damage against your stack. this means that flower loses its defensive advantage whenever it engages back, this is why it is important to make sure that your defensive flower never attacks back once engaged. (your flower lasts longer that way and is especially invincible inside a fort) That being said, with offensive flower losing that defensive advantage is the main goal, since you trade it for maximum amount of possible damage output in a single combat round (1h cooldown period). This is why you need number superiority when using offensive flower and why you should almost always use stacks larger than 1 infantry in an offensive flower.

I still dont get how to figure out the delay feature in the game. I know how to use it but I dont know how to make the flower without knowing how long I have to delay troops for.

well, as long as possible. Thing is, once your flower is set up and enemy is within attack range you cant make any changes to the flower. If you do, it will trigger it to attack back thus rendering it more or less useless (it becomes offensive flower). This is why its best to set delay to maximum after setting up a flower. You also need to add delay again and again, especially before enemy comes into range.

Hey why it should be 1-1-2-1- not 5-5-5-5-5 Because i saw attack damage only start to lose after 5 units ( it's 6attack at 5 units (1.2per unit))

I played 2 games similar to this no one does the flower position because it will be a waste putting to much troops together and long range units

Hi I'm new to the channel I've been playing the game for about 6 months I've been doing pretty good but I want to see what else I can pull, I don't know if you did a video on artillery yet what can you do a video on artillery damage as it seems to be pretty random sometimes one artillery piece can wipe out two thousand men or 1 artillery piece will miss men in open ground like three times in a row, also can you touch base on the blast radius of artillery, an easy tactic to use if timed right is to get your men out of the city before the bombs drop when you see artillery approaching you can at least get away with this once I know it can be done but I gave my men only 10 minutes to get out of the city and although the game show them technically out of the city they still got hit my Army wasn't being targeted specifically my allies Army was

If u only have 1 artillery in a stack u got a 1/3 chance to hit a troop I think
