I used wizards & franks, mostly allowed me to auto skip. Usually get farms to level 3, and a level 4 franks carries until thrn, then I max a franks and get farms to level 4,5 and then I place another frank and max it then I max remaining farms, then I place max bp, then place 6 more franks, make sure the franks are in spots where they can attack the 2 paths Then after 8 franks down, I place wizards to max, then max spec, and then try to max out wiz ability, try to max them fully out, dw about wave 40 since u can sell farms and use spec boost when most wizards reach.
