One of the best and most comprehensive jungle theory videos I’ve watched. As an emerald jungler aiming for diamond, this level of education is perfect for what I’m trying to achieve

You are single handedly improving my confidence and especially decision making, decision making is the most important thing in jungling I find and there's a lot of decision I don't even think about because I didn't even know I can make a different choice

I'm mainly Support user, formerly Mid but gave that role up cause queue times were abysmal and I didn't trust most autofilled Supports. Maybe the reason why I gravitated so much to becoming a Jungler is cause they're basically a second support, their job is basically to make sure the winning lane, wins the game. The only edge being a Jungler has over being a support is that if the lanes are shit, I could carry them myself if I can.

Watching this I just know there's so much I need to know as a jungler to have good games. I would not know who scales better in my botlane or my mid or toplane. I might know overall who is best champion and might carry, or who is ungankable because lack of cc/engage and stuff, but you gave a lot of insight with that Jinx/Nilah matchup. I wouldn't have known that. Need to study more!

It all comes with playing different roles and just exploring every champion to some extend. Takes a lot of time, but its nice to know in split second decision making.

Would it be wrong to go for instant herald at 13:50 (after blue)?
@ECPlaysLoL Жыл бұрын
It depends, are my laners able to help me go for the trade or not? If I go for herald alone and they see me, they are more likely to ping it and dive on me and take it for themselves. At the same time, while they are doing dragon, im clearing my jungle bot to top while Maokai is stuck doing dragon. After dragon I am already topside, and Maokai has botside camps to take, which already gives me a timer where I can take Herald. Him showing botside after dragon just makes it easier for me to take Herald + his topside camps that he chose to ignore for a silly bot fight. You could go for Herald after blue as well, since you have Gwen with perma prio top but then you would leave bot side camps up, which I dont want to do, because I dont want to play for botside.

I rarely invest my time on top laners, they just get afk all game, never leaving the lane the entire game, not even to secure herald, most of them play like a bot.
@ECPlaysLoL Жыл бұрын
I spend about 70% of my time playing top and while I agree that toplaners usually are in lane farming, what we actually do is try and push the lane to gain prio. Most top champions unless they are tanks are terrible teamfighters in soloQ and are better used to splitpush and create pressure. A great jungler understands that and dictates the rest of the team to make plays on the other side of the map, so that the enemy team has to choose. Do they answer the play, or do they stop the splitpusher? And you only get that scenario, if a toplaner is farming well and staying in lanes. Whenever, I play jungle, I never want my top to help me with herald. Because if I am scared of getting killed, then the herald call was wrong to begin with and its my fault. I should always be able to solo Herald since its so easy to kill. Dragon on the other hand is different.

What do you do if the laner that you invested your resources and time ends up giving the shutdown because he's fed now and feels unstoppable so he starts doing stupid stuff lol

Do you think this play style works in low elo? Because in low elo this Gwen hardly would carry the game..
@ECPlaysLoL Жыл бұрын
I would say yes, because even though a low elo Gwen would fail over and over again doing silly stuff, its still a Gwen with a massive lead, and its not like the enemy team is actively thinking about shutting her down. And the best part is, that junglers in low elo are generally really inefficient, so doing this would hardly ever set you behind as a jungler, so if all goes to shit, you yourself are still very strong and able to carry the game. Only once you reach mid elo and higher, do jungler start to really punish you for not being on tempo, so in low elo, go for it. Its always good to invest early into scaling champions, because they dont really fall off.
