fizz, talon, qiyana, kat have map mobility and can burst the botlane instantly. On the other hand, yasuo, yone and irelia need to prepare their Q's with minions for both their mobility and damage

Generally a combination of how quickly they can clear waves + run to bot lane + have the CC to actually kill someone

I don't really know when to build it, I think you build it when they have like a ganking jungler and a mid with good gank setup? But I don't know. Thank you for your videos Shok!

For Ori it should pretty much be your default, I think seraphs is the best mana item on her, but you can go something like tear > ludens > seraphs if you want

Oops I just realized I forgot to mention Syndra. On Syndra I think you prefer ludens most of the time, you can go seraphs if you need more safety. If you aren't going for a specific second item e.g. banshee vs heavy ap, shadowflame as solo ap etc then you can do the same thing as ori (tear > luden > seraph)

You can go gathering if you want here yeah, a lot of the time I don't go scorch against melees (because dshield second wind is so OP) I actually can't remember why I have it here maybe I just forgot to change it

I’ve been playing syndra in my ranked climb and have been finding a lot of success with her. I usually take first strike into melees that I don’t have kill threat on early just to farm more gold. What is your thought process for going phase rush over that, and when would you opt for phase rush?

If you can get away with first strike into melees you should, phase rush is quite good if you feel in danger of being run down the lane by their mid or their supp/jg

Hey Shok, is there a reason for scorch over gathering storm this game? Considering how GS synergizes well with Syndra's passive, has a higher winrate than scorch and you're not expected to be hard winning early anyways?

I probably should have taken gathering storm since scorch is generally useless into dshield/second wind users. In lanes without sustain though scorch is normally better than gathering

Shok what are your thoughts on shadowflame/horizon focus? (Syndra, viktor ) Is 10% damage amp better than 30% execution damage?

In several videos he has said that he really likes Shadowflame when he is solo AP, and I think not as much when he is not solo AP since it's way less strong if the enemy team itemizes MR.

I prefer horizon too on many champs right now. I tested it on Lb, Ori, Viktor. Seems ok. But mostly played it with my team. Combination of Horizon Focus and Cryptbloom is decent for your team. If you can use it. But in soloQ Shadowflame is better i think.

Shadowflame is super broken if you're solo AP, but virtually useless if you're not. Horizon second is not bad but I actually prefer the double mana build atm instead (tear > ludens > seraphs)

on a far far more serious note than kog'maw, would you ever plan to playing ziggs in one of these games? been trying to use him in the games i get filled from adc but wondering how much of an actual difference gameplay wise there is between the same champ in the two roles also the hunt for AP kog'maw continues, stay vigilent fellow spitters.

This one of syndra s better matchups tho. Especially now after lethal removal. And no ur nit supposed to loose the yone lane. He only has threat post 6. I really would like for u to elaborate more. Uf anything this is one of my fave matchups in higher Plat/low dia.

Definitely disagree, Syndra's main win condition for lanes is poking the opponent out which is impossible vs Yone (and even more so now that he can take fleet + second wind + dshield + absorb life). He can just tank your abilities and trade HP in order to deny you CS/slowly whittle you down. He also has 2 forms of gank threat which can be very annoying as an immobile mage.

Yep, only thing that's changed is that Yone takes fleet all the time now vs syndra (instead of in this vid I was surprised he didn't take LT)
