Protecting the Leather: Saddle soap? / While running the engine, to get the Sta-Bil thru the system, shut down the Fuel Valve, to allow the engine to stall out on its own, from fuel starvation, ensuring that the carbs are not holding any additional fuel. / Bed sheets are ok for coving the bike, yes? / Steel wool in the tail pipe will keep mice from "nesting" there (which does happen!).

Hi, I ride a Royal Enfield Classic 350 in Mumbai, INDIA and the air here has 70% plus humidity all year round and this bike is all metal with lots of chrome. WD-40 is available but ACF 50 or duck oil is not available anywhere, not even online, nobody here have heard of such products. Can I spray any cooking oil or used motor oil to coat the entire bike in oil to prevent corrosion during rainy season and wash it all off later before using the bike. Thanks

+amito100 We would NOT recommend using used motor oil. Used oil has contaminants in it that would cause corrosion that would eat all the metal on the bike. Best way we know of is to use a proper chrome polish on everything that is chrome and then wax on everything that is a painted part, leather conditioner on all leather and then make sure it is stored in doors with a proper cover that allows the bike to breath.
