Very helpful, thank you for taking the time to make this video. I'm in the process of building a 12v soft wash system with the Remco 7gpm pump and I'm literally learning everything from YT. Thanks again!

Great video my guy! I see guys running 50-100 amp breakers, basically an on-and-off switch, that's what I'm doing myself. Just bypasses using a separate switch

Very helpful. The pump turned on when I threw the switch! :D

Can you do a video on how to attach the hose to the pump?
@pressurewashnerds Жыл бұрын
Sure! We can definitely do a video on the plumbing side. It’s actually just a 1/2 NPT to 3/4 barb on the suction side (to proportioner) and then 1/2” NPT to 5/8” barb for the hose running to the reel/wand. Hose clamp on both ends.

I will only do about 4 house washes a year. My own rentals that have outdooe power. Delavan makes a 110 volt 100 psi pump. Do you see any problem with this? I was thinking less problems. Dont have to worry about battery charging and replaceing the battery every 5 years. Thanks for any suggestions.

Should be good with that setup. Obviously be careful not to wash where you are plugged in. Be sure to run a lot of fresh water through the pump at the end and winterize with antifreeze and pump preserver if you’re using it that infrequently

hey man i have this exact wiring setup as i watched this video before starting my company. with that being said i want to install a voltage meter. How and where would i add a voltage meter in?
@pressurewashnerds2 ай бұрын
You can wire it in wherever you’d like as long as it’s spanning positive 12V to ground. I’m assuming you want to measure battery voltage so I’d suggest running the wires direct from the screw terminals on your battery. Alternatively, you could add it in on the leads for your pump. The voltage should be identical in either spot.

@@pressurewashnerds Ok. so another question then, can i add another set of terminals on the battery then? because 10g wire is used for the initial setup but the voltage meter has really tiny wire. Like could i buy lil terminals that fit the battery and add them to the other two that are already on? (2 on neg and 2 on positive)? Hope this question makes sense lol. Appreciate you reaching out!

Do you need to ground this to the chassis of your trailer/truck?
@pressurewashnerds4 ай бұрын
Good question. I don’t believe the NEC requires grounding for DC systems less than 60VDC. I chose not to ground our system and just left it floating.

I will recommended use the wiring from marine is better will not heat the wiring and pump and last you more Also the circuit breaker make it 40a
@pressurewashnerds3 ай бұрын
Why 40A breaker with 30A rated wire? Peak pull for the pump is also below 30A.

I tried this setup, but the pump does not power on - I am only using a 3A max 12V 1GPM pump though...not sure what's wrong. 10 gauge wire clamps with 30a fuse ...

Check to make sure your breaker isn’t tripped, double check all wiring, if you have a voltmeter you can use that to check voltage at the pump. Otherwise you may have a dead pump from factory. Happened to us once with an Everflo

thanks nerds! - I ended up buying a 110v self-priming diaphragm pump that will keep up with the demand :D@@pressurewashnerds

Question what type of equipment gpm etc. & skid do you recommend for pressure washing dumpster pads & restaurant walkways any advice would highly be appreciated!! God bless you and your family
@pressurewashnerds Жыл бұрын
Dumpster pads and heavy foot traffic areas would definitely benefit from hot water. 4GPM is the minimum I’d recommend but if you want to be more efficient and have the cash, go for an 8. Landa and Pressure-Pro both make nice skids.
