@@angieaug Looking forward to it. Just have to tell you that seeing your Beacon Hill video years ago sparked my interest in miniatures. My first build was a Greenleaf Westville, followed by several RGT builds. I've yet to keep any of them - they've all gone to charity silent auctions. Currently working on a Greenleaf laser cut Diana (LOVE the laser cut Greenleaf. I wish they would do a laser cut Beacon Hill). I'm keeping the Diana and have 2 RGT builds still in the box (New Orleans & Newport). They both will go to charity. Finally, I've got the Beacon Hill sitting in the closet waiting for me. Going to turn it into 3 apartments. This one will be a keeper. Anyhow, just wanted to thank you for the inspiration. Your work is fantastic.

Thankyou for showing me how u did the wiring on this dollhouse ...i purchased an chinese styled dollhouse from china ....had to figure out the instructions as they were in chinese .... but they had lots of pictures in the instructions so it wasnt much of a problem plus found other youtuber tutorial videos that did the same kit so that helped alot ... sometimes before i start a new kit i look at the wiring first in the instructions to see how i can improve and camoflage the wiring better ...in some cases i had to rewire it differently than what was shown in the instructions cause just didnt like the way it was done . The kit comes with the white plastic coated wiring . And didnt like the way they did some of the wiring in the instructions .and it got to be the wiring was unsightly looking in some areas ..in most cases i was able to camoflage the wires...other timès i would have to drill thru the floors and feed the wiring thru that way to hide them ... but i think the lighting tape will work better in areas than using the thin plastic coated wires everywhere ... because dollhouse had a battery box and the LED lights included ...so taught myself how to use a soldering iron to solder the wires together ....i wonder if the lighting tape will work with the battery box or will have to use the transformer ... battery box uses uses either 2 AA or 2AAA type batteries to light up the dollhouse ...so was wondering do u have any insight using the lighting tape with the battery box ? ....i managed to find out how to make your own LED light bulbs in different colors of yellow ,green ,blue, and red,etc ..relatively inexpensive online ...plus found out that u can purchase the thin plastic coated white wiring ...in different colors as well.....if u do a search on youtube on ....chinese dollhouse kits .... u can get an idea some of the styles of the dollhouse kits that i am working on....this is my 3rd one ...anyways thanks for making the video ... it was nice to see there was another method of doing the LED wiring ...

This was helpful! Thank you. I was wondering why you cut the plug off instead of plugging it in? I’m working on the glencroft and plan to mostly texture the walls and add stained beams. I’m only going to be doing sconces and a few table candles. I’m thinking of running the tape wire just on the other side of where the beam will be and painting over the tape so hopefully it won’t show. This is my first house but I’m also a perfectionist so I know it will really bug me if it shows. Any suggestions? Thank you!!

I would only use tapewire on a surface that I planned to cover, whether it's a wall or floor. You could use round wire as an alternative to tapewire.

@recoveringsoul7552 жыл бұрын
I never saw anyone out the bare wires into the hole before, then put in the eyelet to make the connection. All the other ones I see wrap the wire around the eyelet and then pounding in. If they're putting in ceiling lights, they run the wires through a hole in the ceiling up to the second floor, let's say, and then attach the wire ends to the tape wire on the floor. Makes a case for having removable flooring. I wish you were still making videos, and hope that you are ok.
