Thanks for the tip about wiring the white wire to D10 (ELD) and brown wire to D21 (sensor ground). Initially, i wired the brown wire to chassis ground and readings would not move much. I'm using a USDM P28 ecu on Neptune RTP

Great tips Jarrod. I was recently troubleshooting the AEM X series wiring on my hondata too and some online resources suggested grounding to thermostat housing is also recommended. I tried it and found that grounding the black wire to the thermostat housing seemed to also work to give me correct voltage output to the ecu. Did you try testing this option yourself by any chance?
@JarrodWillemse2 жыл бұрын
Hey mate no i didn't know you could do that. I figured straight into the ecu would probably be best for the signal. I assume the thermostat housing works because the harness to the ecu grounds are in the same location.

Hi sir, I’m so confused. How many wires in total and what colors of the wires you need to tap in the hondata ecu? I did the white to d10 and brown to d21,but it’s not powering on.

Hi mate you still need to wire the power and ground for the gauge to turn on to a normal ignition switches source.

So, what is this I heard about having to remove resistors 136 and 138 on some ECU's? Do they need to be removed on my p30 for me to run the AEM system?

Trying this for my 8th gen civic si. There's a total of 6 sensor ground locations. How do I know which to use?
@JarrodWillemse8 ай бұрын
Anyone one the ecu is fine. On these older Ecu’s they use the same ground as the wires on the thermostat housing.

So sid it to d14 instead of d10 but for some reason its reading only 3.8 and doesnt want to go any higher.

Make sure the ground for the sensor output is tapped into the sensor ground on the ecu.

Hello, I have the AEM 30-4110 wideband and so there is no analog ground only the white 0-5v analog output wire. Do I connect this to an analog auxiliary input on the s300 board and if so how do I set it up on the software. I've searched high and low and couldn't find anything. All I want to be able to do is datalog with the sensor I'm not looking to run closed loop or anything like that. Any advice is greatly appreciated thanks in advance!
@JarrodWillemse Жыл бұрын
Hey mate thanks for watching. I can’t say for sure but what I would do is just connect the sensor input first and since you only want it for data logging then just use the analogue input with the patch harness installed. Under the tap analogue inputs you can set it up there. If you still get weird reading in the hondata I would take the ground from the gauge and attach it to the sensor ground going into the ecu.

Hey mate, when wiring the guage to the ecm did you de-pin d14 and d22 or splice into them?
@JarrodWillemse Жыл бұрын
D14 if your ecu is still using the stock Narrowband may give you problems D10 you can cut off. Then for D22 the sensor ground you need to splice into as that is used for your other sensors as well.

I’m confused. So the main power and ground, the first two in the instructions, red 12v switched and black ground. Did you wire those in as instructed and THEN wire the analog power and ground to the ecu? Sorry I’m dumb lol So how many wires total did you have running to the Ecu? Which colors?
@JarrodWillemse Жыл бұрын
The analogue positive and negative to the ecu. Ground is sensor ground and positive goes the the input of your choice. You still need to add power and ground for the gauge power to work.
