@JarrodWillemse I've also learned that shimming the pump isnt a good idea, porting to rid of imperfections for good flow is ok. Found a couple forums that engineers chimed in on explaining what is happening other than higher pressure readings.

How can you say the cranks are similar when the CA18 has 4 counterweights and the SR20 has 8? The 8 counterweight crank will, in theory, flex less at high RPM. Does it matter in practice? If the CA18 lives at 9k RPM, probably not.
@JarrodWillemse15 күн бұрын
Yeh your right ca is half counterweight but I was referring to the strength and manufacturing process for both.

Found an article describing the issue on HAMotorsports' website. However, this is what they later mentioned............ "UPDATE: With all newer wideband systems that use the Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor, 0-3.73 volts reading through the stock D14 02 sensor input is more than sufficient for reading air/fuel ratio, so using the D10 ELD input is no longer beneficial. If your wideband uses the Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor, we recommend using the D14 input now, this way you can leave the ELD circuit functional." Video doesn't mention that if you use d10, u need to cut two resistors inside the ecu to get it to read totally accurate. If u use d14 u cut the wire , don't t tap / splice into it.
@lurice020 күн бұрын
@3:34 did you T-tap into the D10 and D21 stock wires or did you totally replace them with the two wires from the Wideband?
@JarrodWillemse19 күн бұрын
D10 is totally replaced and D21 you tap into as it is a shared sensor ground for the ecu.

Hey man, excellent video I did this install very recently on my b20 VTEC, so B16 head and I have the black variant of this with the black variant of the same throttle body that you have installed. I replaced the gasket on the intake air temperature sensor, as well as the gasket on the map sensor, and the TPS sensor. I went through Hondata and set the pedal position according to the new TPS orientation before starting the car. However, I have a high idle 1500 RPM and I cannot get it below that even after adjusting idle within the ECU. Almost like I have a vacuum leak but I literally have everything tight and installed . Do you have any suggestion on what could be causing this? I cleaned the IACV and reassured there are no leaks by spraying carburetor cleaner all over anything that dealt with vacuum to hear a difference in the idol. Could it be a bad PCV?
@JarrodWillemseАй бұрын
Hey mate my guess is you have a vacuum leak. You can spray brake cleaner on the manifold when running to find the leak. It can also leak from the injector seals when they sit on the manifold. Just double check you IACV is plugged in and the idle screw on the throttle body is screwed all the way in. Can you hear a hissing noise?

@JarrodWillemseАй бұрын
Misfire started at light throttle cruising but was fine full throttle. Over time it slowly got worse and worse then just did it all the time. It was like something was slowly dying. I fixed some wires going into the ecu and it idles fine now but that makes me think it nigh be a wire that’s broken.
