How To Wire Electric Fans - MFA100 Fan Switch And Wiring Kit | Maradyne High Performance Fans |

Today we are going through the installation of the electric fan wiring for made by Maradyne High Performance Fans. This thermostat uses a capillary tube to activate the switch that grounds out the electric fan relay. The harness supplied with this kit is designed to work with A/C, without A/C, single fan and also dual fan set ups. Installation took about 45mins and difficulty would be rated at about 2 out of 5. Maradyne HP also sells a kit that uses a temp sensor type of switch that can be mounted in the intake or somewhere on the engine. Which pin did you use as the ground to the vehicle? Number 1 or 2?

I got the same probe into the fins...Do you prefer this over a temp erature switch on the manifold or the side of the heads?

I just wired it up same way u did and for some reason I keep popping the fuses. Is there something I did wrong?

Chances are that it was not wired up correctly. You should have a 10 or 15amp fuse going to the coil side of each relay and a 30amp fuse going to the load side of the relay that feeds the fan. One relay per fan, one 30 amp fuse per relay.

It looks like you have 2 ground wires coming from the temperature switch? I hooked it up that way and the fan doesn’t come on at all

The temp switch is the ground, so the negative side of the fan goes into one side of the temp switch and the other side goes straight to ground. Is that how you have it wired up?

@@NightWrencher Yes, but I might have something else crossed up. Let me double check. Does it matter which side goes to the relay and which side is ground to the car?
