Usko adminstration chalate ha..baeuracat ek irs bhi ias ha.. ek IPOs bhi ias ha.. ek foreign service officer or railway odficer bhi adminstrator (ias) ha.. toh ias nam ese diya ha..lekin asli nam adminstrator ha.. woh state ki ho yeh central ke ho ho.. alag alag position hota ha.. secretary,joint secretary etc.. jaise clerk meh ek ld Clark bhi clerk ha ek I'd clerk bhi clerk ha ek data operater bhi clerk ha.. ek attendent bhi clerk ha ek steno bhi clerk hi ha.. log alag alag precetion se bulate ha.. samjh meh aya

Without political support or bureaucrats support in background,it's not to join as lateral entry. Means 99% aspirants never became. Very easy to give lecture by such middle class elite,that direct into that post👍

Lateral entry should be encouraged . It's 2024 we need people in the administration who can make the works done . It can be 60-40 . Like 60% will be career officers and the other 40% will be people who put by government like specific domain expert or something . Why can not someone who is an expert on his/her field be an administrator . I think they can . This will help .

Not compatible with india because of our social structure and caste hierarchy, because then high lobbying is sure and only those with the same caste and favour of ruling party will be selected.

@@loserang2877 usa uk France har jagah yeh system ha..india kab tak pichada rehega.. jo reted vice chancellor ho usko education secretary hona chaihe kyuki usko proper education ke bare meh knowledge ha..naki ek ias ko yeh toh education ki bat jaise fishing department hogaya yeh agriculture department ho gaya ese tamam department jo specialization compulsory ha.. upsc ko bhi pata ha..isliye toh jayada tar economics,yeh iit or nit wake mostly select karte ha .

With all the precautions taken by upsc she manage to enter then imagine lateral entry, it will be like completely handing over India to devil to lead

Lateral entry is stigma on administrative service. Indian services start to administer Indian system, without actually knowing what india is, they create policy mostly favor for capitalist because where they come from, atleast those people comes after upsc journey where they read about India's social political and economically so well and even in service they worked with common people initially, I don't think these people even deserve to be in service.

Correct and don't forget the caste factor which is prevalent in Indian society. Only high caste people will be appointed in case of lateral entry because there is no open competition. Second, they sit in ac rooms in their ivory towers thinking they can solve ground level problems that's why the planning commission also failed because of the top down approach Changing names won't solve anything.

U never knw nw adays nepotism do exist in central govt jobs ,appointment .. with the current development of bureaucrats parents and their children getting selected in pcs and upsc and what not ...im nt accusing her just being apprehensive about this current development and politician bribed by civil servants for promotion and even govt awards..😢

You are absolutely right. Not just her parents are both IAS officers her uncle aunt grandparents are all in Civil service. People in India asking for lateral entry should also realize this. The real family lateral entry. We are not Europe or America to have such system.
