Hi ...I am in a similar situation. I think mine is Grief driven after losing my dad last year. I'm functioning but just barely ...sleeping way to much as a coping mechanism. Do you have any tips or strategies, or techniques that helped.
@morenabarbie.official8 ай бұрын
@@johngallagher72 I did a lot of breath work exercises and also watched a lot of inspirational videos. I've learned that we just need to live with the present and stop worrying about the future. I told myself to get up and live life. Glad I did and now feeling way better than before. I get to appreciate life.

I’m going through that too. I just want to go away and turn off. Feel fatigue and just go to sleep. Ignore taking care of myself. Just no drive to do the opposite.

Gosh , when you said you dont feel like its going to end its so right and the time frame thing is me its like i want to be better yesterday its like locked in your own mind and body i appreciate this cause its tough this episode has nearly finished me 😢
@johngallagher728 ай бұрын
Tips 1. Get your body on a normal schedule. ..10 pm to 6am target 2. Water exposure ...shower 3. Eat breakfast 4. Don't isolate have a structured activity where you are around people during the day. 5. Drop time have no time frame exoectations on your recovery. Interesting that the depressive episode is a byproduct of of a primary event. I'm pretty sure mine is the byproduct of a combination of grief lonlieness after losing my dad last year. 🙏❤🙏

What sucks is that I would love to volunteer but I'm a recluse these days. I have my daughter in the weekends and do everything for her, but when she goes to her mom's I have no one and just won't initiate these things because I really don't even know how to.

All the given tips are the very things a depressed person cannot do!!!! How are these helpful. The only thing that might even start helping is to be able to sort your thoughts and break the thought pattern. I am sorry but this is messed up advice.

You quite literally have to force yourself to get through the mind numbing agony of not wanting to do it. It sucks but it's what I had to do. It was the only way for me to get out my depression
@Awesome_AustinYT Жыл бұрын
This was great advice. I was diagnosed with major depression and I’ve been struggling for a long time. You CAN do these things he’s talking about, you just need to WANT to get better. Remember baby steps and one day at a time.
