I feel that in order to implement an app which might make several different API calls to fetch various kinds of data, the code footprint here is too huge. Wish Swift could take notes from JS or Python on how to simplify HTTP requests. In the meantime, I think refactoring all this logic to create a class (let's call it "HttpRequest") which would generalize requests be really helpful. All I'd have to do would be something along the lines of, let httpRequestObj = HttpRequest(url: "some.thing/...", method: "POST", header: Header, body: Body? = nil) and then call, let responseData : [String: Any] = httpRequestObj.response.data, to get the data.
