I am glad you didn't call this a "do's and don't's" because that would definitely made me a "don't"; I wear more nuetreals than anything and when attempting color I feel I'd be more comfortable having the softer application that your other powdered technique produced. Thanks for sharing your skills! xo

Yes! I feel that I have ben doing the other side for a while with neutrals and I think it looks best that way when I want a natural, barely there eyeshadow! I only use denser brushes when working with vibrant colors. Still, I got so many tips and can't wait to try it!

I feel that NYX would be a good brand for you to try. I didn’t like them at all because I would have had to use so much product to build up the vibrancy I wanted. But for someone who wants a more toned down approach, they might be for you.

I also find that if I'm working with more "difficult" colours or formulas I start by patting on the darkest shade and then taking really small brushes to blend over the edges. That's how I make subculture work because I love that colour story and they are pigments so it's easier that way.

I really like both sides - the softer more defused side is very pretty - closer to what I like during the day. The other side is beautiful and vibrant, and almost feels like a night look - a bit more dramatic. So, both sides are nice, just maybe for different settings or moods.

This is so helpful! I’m really glad you didn’t do the other eye stupidly badly, just the way a lot of us would automatically do because that’s how we use more neutral colours. It really shows why my eye looks don’t look quite how I want them to. Thank you 💙

If you want a bold lid but a very diffused/soft crease, I recommend setting from above the line of the crease to the eyebrow before you start :) That way the lid is still tacky and picks up the pigment nicely :)

Thanks for this video 💜. I am 48. My eye area is dry. The application of powders after primer adds dryness. The technique of patting on the shadow, during the initial application, works best for my eyes. It works best, for me, to apply thinner layers and build up. Thanks for sharing your techniques 💚. Sometimes I get so thrilled to have a color on my eye that I have to tell myself, "SLOW down" lol. A simple tap, into the pan, is all thats needed, at first! LOL..not mopping my floor with a makeup brush!!

@@kagitsune I actually didn't say anything mysterious, unprovoked or weak, my comment was clearer than the world's bibles... it's like if you were to go to a dermatologist & they'd recommend something topical to you. Perhaps one went for 1 thing but the doc noticed another & just offered some advice. You can do your own research since you seem so keen on believing things with your own eyes. Organic means the plants powers weren't hindered or altered due to exposure to deadly chemicals &, therefore, is both in full power and has no poison residue.

I use a dense fluffy blender brush for mine. It isn't pinched, but it is more dense. Always on a tacky base. But it deposits the color well. Luxie has a nice dense normal blending brush, and it is also good for small eyes. I find the biggest problem is the more layers you add of color, the less tacky the base gets, and the patchier it gets.

I ordered this palette recently and wanted to find some looks for it so I really appreciate your tutorial being done with this palette - two for one! I also notice how the "okay" eye is being manipulated too much and your "BAM" eye isn't being moved around as much; gentler and more impact. I'm pushing 50 so respecting my eyelids is paramount! "Any wettening will do," so licking my brush is a-ok? Awesome! (I know, I'm gross)
