Hi Thomas! Great presentation about the worksets, thank you very much. Could you tell me how can you assign the worksets to specified users? Because as I see it is enough just to change the username in the options window. Like in vault, where we can add users to different vault sotorages, with different roles. Thanks in advance

HI Thomas, What happens in the following scenario: you work on your workset for a while and save your work. Then you delete something from another workset you have no rights to (by mistake or something). After deleting that item prior to saving you do more work on your workset. Then you try to save and you get the warning that you can't save to the alternate workset, do you lose all the changes you made after deleting item in alternate workset? or will Revit save just changes to your workset and not the item you deleted from the alternate workset? Thanks. Lennon

Hey Thomas im not sure how active you are as this video is quite old, but i am facing a bit of a dilema here while making my central model for an MEP job. I need to pretty much make a workset for the disciplines HVAC, FIRE, PLUMBING, amongst others. now how do i set more than one workset to one level? since i only have one drawing of one floor, but i need 3 separate worksets for the three disciplines to work separately on the same level. how...?

Thomas, I was wondering if you could help me with worksets. We need to split architecture from interior design on high end custom homes. Can this be done easily in worksets? I'd be willing to pay you a consulting fee to help us.

save a local copy on your computer and close it, then start opening it from revit, not with a double click or right btn to open. In Revit in the open window if you select your local file you'll see a checkbox for disconnecting it from the central model, check it and open the file, then save it again as a detached model.
