Poor Alex just can't catch a break. It's wild how many of these myths directly mention sperm and genitalia as major plot points. Egypt was freaking wild. Also, the way Anubis judges souls is by far the best and most metal afterlife myth ever.

As far as history channels that make it super interesting, you can't go wrong with The Fat Electrictian. He covers primarily military history, and mostly bizzare stories that are so incredible they don't sound real.

It is still debated whether Aten inspired Judaism or if Judaism inspired Aten. The reign of Akhenaten does closely line up with the time of Joseph and the time the Jews were in Egypt.

It is more likely that the singular worship of the Aten influenced the monotheism of Judaism rather than the other way around, especially considering the fact that ancient Canaan at the time was controlled by the imperial new kingdom of Egypt. It’s very possible Joseph and Moses were both influenced by the revolutionary religion of the Aten.

i find it very similar to my religion (hindu) , in our faith too the primordial deity emerges from brahman ( formless reality that is beleived to be the one true god and all the others are manifestations ) . he is vishnu according to vishnu puran ( a religious book , but it depends on which universe and which cycle we are talking about as for some devi the female god is primodial ) . Vishnu is asleep in cosmic ocean before creation of universe , from his navel a lotus blooms and on the top of that lotus brahma is present ( which is responsible for creation of that particular universe ) .
