How To Wrap Up Using Distance Sticks | Carp Fishing Tips | Trakker

'Wrapping up' allows you to record the distance from your casting position to your fishing spot. This distance can then be applied to your other rods (if fishing multiple rods on a spot), or to your spod rod (enabling you to accurately bait-up at exactly the same range as your fishing rods).
With distances recorded, you can easily cast back to the same spot, time after time, by using the 'wrapping up' technique shown in this video.

Can you spod with a 9ft and fish with a 10ft but it’s the same number of wraps or wouldn’t it work? Thanks

Yes, belongs you have the sticks 12ft apart. Doesn't matter what length rods your fishing with. It will be the same amount of line regardless.

Depends on the depth of the water. Anything below 6ft I wouldn't bother adjusting.

Do you leave your line clipped up on main rod , what if you get a run further away

No you don't. Once you have cast out you take your line out of the clip. When you next reel back in you have your distance already memorised (for example, 10 wraps around the marker sticks) , so you just wrap the line around the sticks again and put the line in the line clip. So when you recast out it will hit the clip again at the same distance. Rinse, repeat.

Hi, yes that correct. As long as the sticks are 12ft apart it will be the same.
