It's the drums for sure. Cannibal Corpse drummer uses a single pedal afaik. And if it is a double, he normally uses a single kick pattern.

​​​@@kanoaikawachHonestly it's less so the double kicks (many death metal bands use them) but rather the tone of the drums. They sound overly modern and overly punchy for death metal. Blast beats played with this kit will inherently sound like deathcore because of the thicc synthetic snare sound. Death metal drums tend to be either semi-dry and fairly natural (like Cannibal Corpse or Suffocation) or completely dry and robotic with a cheap feel to them (like Mortician, Vulvectomy, etc.)
