@Henry14arsenal20074 ай бұрын
Necrophagist was the most "mindful" technical band, every piece of their music absolutely made sense and had something to say, nowhere else in traditional metal will you find a more refined, taken to absolute maximum guitar playing and songwriting, where every aspect of it is top tier good; Technicality? Check. Melodic sense? Check. Variation of textures, moods and tempos? Check. Nods to classical music? Check. Never being predictable yet always managing to stay on the narrow and treacherous path of coming up with parts that make sense and paint an overarching picture? Check. Its all there.

The link you sent me, (as I assume was a response to my previous comment), was for a video that had been taken down from KZbin.

Might've picked "Pull Me Under" for DT seeing as it's arguably the only one of their songs that anyone who isn't a massive guitar/prog metal nerd knows (See; "Greatest Hit..." album). Plus that intro with the bendy harmonics that bleeds into the tapping that bleeds back into emotion is just...well. I think it's iconic for sure! Hell of a list tho. 🤘

Love that Big Jeff is in this. He always seems to get missed out on a lot. Still got my signed Schecter JL7 hanging on my wall.

That goes for Randy and Cliff Burton. It’s such a damn shame their careers were cut short. Guess the same also goes for Dimebag. If there’s another world beyond this mortal plane of existence, I’d be willing to bet they’re probably jamming together for eternity.

Fermented offal discharge actually made me cry a few times in my life. It's absolutely incredible and beautiful in my opinion. Probably my favorite solo of all time.

Not sure what makes a solo "iconic". But if I had to pick 3 solos that I absolutely love, I'd pick: 3. Nevermore - Engines of Hate (I just love Jeff's playing and I think that's one of his best solos) 2. Helloween - Giants (great melodic twin guitar solo from one of their greatest songs that is often overlooked because it's on an overall weaker album) 1. Rage - Dies Irae (a shreddy solo that squeals and sings and weeps on top of all the shred. Just great)

Heard 1.2 seconds of Pain Killer. Got literal goose bumps. So damn GOATed. Both the song and the album.

Necrophagist, Fermented Offal Discharge. Has to be the best.
