How to write a characterization - fictional text analysis - 3 steps

Writing a characterization is part of many advanced English courses. The idea is to look closely and systematically at a character that appears in a novel, short story or any other kind of fictional text.
Depending on the focus of the task you're given, your text should describe this character and/or analyze techniques used by the author to create this impression.
The exact format of a characterization obviously depends on your course and your teacher, professor, etc.; I present what I think is a good general way to write a text like this.

I find some good aspects about characterization of the book i intend to write about, and there are a lot of characters in it. yet, the characters supporting my aspects aren't the main character. Sehr hilfreiches Video!! 👏🏻 Allerdings struggle ich gerade damit, wie man denn eine transition von Summary zur Charakterisierung schreibt. Ich weiß nämlich nicht, was da dann in die Einleitung gehört, wenn man schon bei der summary so einen Einleitungssatz hatte.

Hallo , kein guter Aufbau der Characterization . Habe nur ne 4 geschrieben , darunter Einleitung zu der characterization nur 0,5 von 3 Punkten , obwohl ich es genau so präsentiert habe ! Also aufpassen und zuhören , was eurer Lehrer für Ansprüche hat!

Hi Constantin, tut mir leid das zu hören! Kannst Du mal in Deinen Erwartungshorizont schauen und sagen, welche Information gefehlt hat? Du hast absolut Recht - es lohnt sich immer zu hören, welche Vorstellung der eigene Lehrer hat, da kann es auch schonmal Abweichungen geben. Meine Darstellung hier ist schon ein gewisser Standard - aber sicher nicht die einzige Lösung. Grüße und alles Gute für die nächste Klausur!
