I dont know but i think I could disagree with your 1st paragraph about LM wanting to be a man "Unsex me here". She didnt want to be a man or a woman literally, she just didnt to be classified as any of that cause she thought being a woman "personified as being weak" and she also hates the patriarchy. if she wanted to be a man, why does she still use the motherly language of "milk" and "babies". And dont forget she also "just a lost a baby" and she is using that manipulation and ambition to cover her "grief". I AM JUST WAFFLING... DONT MIND ME

There are many ways to interpret this phrase, but at that moment she is imagining having the power and cruelty of a man. She says many things that are not literal, but are an expression of her frustration with being a woman in that world at that moment.
