Are you expected to include certificates of awards, and if so, where should they go in the order of documents? (Also, do you think it is better to have letters of recommendation from people with higher positions/titles, or letters of recommendation that are more enthusiastic and detailed about the student? For example, is it better to have an excellent letter from a regular professor, or an average/not-detailed letter from someone who is the head of a department?)

Heading: Start with catchy sentences. Don't just list quantitative elements. Body: Answer all given ideas for the personal statement. Start with a main point and explain after. Closing: Show the admissions committee why you should be selected and what is beneficial for them (e.g., students, faculty members, admin workers, the university you applied for, the NIIED, or even South Korea) if you are selected as a GKS scholar!

Sir, for the personal statement is it necessary to write according to the guide given or we can write it in our own way (of course, we will still be including what is mentioned in the guide) For eg ; in the guide the first point they mentioned is 1. Motivation on why i applied for GKS. 2.Family and educational background. But can i write - 1. How i was introduced to South Korea. 2. My self introduction, family and educational background and so on

Great Video, Mr. Daniel! I've got a question if its okay. From all of the examples, it seems like it's better to emphasize and connect our "stories" to our personal experiences about Korea. But what if the applicants have little to no real experiences related to Korea itself? what should we do to make the personal statement interesting? (Ps* What i meant was in a case where the applicants are very interested in Korea and obviously to pursue a degree there, but all he/she know about korea is just textbook / digital knowledges. Never been there and rarely interacted with Korean either.)

I had a question concerning in which language should I write my personal statement and statement of purpose. I am French, and I attended an international university in France to do my Bachelor which is the reason why I have a good commend of English. I have also been learning Korean by myself for the past 2 years, but I haven't passed the TOPIK exam yet. I feel more comfortable with expressing myself in English but I was wondering if it could be more advantageous for me to write the statements in Korean in order to prove where my Korean language skills stand as I do not have any certificate to show it or in contrary writing them in Korean may represent a disadvantage if it's not the language I am the most comfortable with no matter how nicely it could be done. I have done diploma first in (electronics and comm engg) and because of diploma i directly got admission into 2nd year in bachelor degree by giving exam and got rank in that.. So what should i fill in first two semester gpa section? 3. From (electronics and communication) to ~ degree in(electrical and electronics) ~ now applying master in (electronics engg) So are they gonna ques why you are changing from a combination of electrical and electronics to only electronics .Like generally is it a big deal changing field there in S.korea although it is not that big change in terms of major.

Most students are introduced to South Korea through Kpop and Kdrama . And later on they explore the educational possibilities there and will decide on pursuing their higher studies there and the original reason for their interest is given a backseat. For the Personal Statement, since there are guide questions, do you think it would be best to answer them in order or would it be alright to write it in a way where I create a smooth flow but answering all the guide questions provided. The first guide question is about the motivation but my essay started off as introducing myself then slowly building it to how i learned about the program and my motivations, etc. Thanks in advance for the feedback! 😊

Hello i will be glad if you've seen my comment answer my question...for embssay we should select 3 universities but 95% of departments and majors from the "Natural sciences" division, are only offered by one university...also we can't select diferrent departments of this division for each university. it makes our chance less and we would have weak study plan and self statment... Please tell us what should we do if we want to study Dental hygiene but there is just one university offering it...what should we do about 2other universities?

The NIIED requires applicants to submit letters of recommendation from TWO different recommders. You might think the more you get letters, the better you get scores from the admissions committee. But that is not true. The most important thing is to follow their instructions as I explained why in the video. Quality over quantity!
