Their method is: Check to make sure you are writing a riff that's commercially acceptable. If it's too fast then slow it down enough so that the lowest common denominator fan would like it. Death Magnetic rocked harder than 72 seasons, IMO. I'm afraid they are going back to just metal again. I hope I'm wrong though. Still I listen to 72 Seasons and like "If Darkness Had a Son" and "Lux Aeterna", "Crown of Barbed Wire".
