Wow, dude there is just a very slight difference in sustain and warmth of those tones to be thousands of dollars more

I played both and the American Professional two is better guitar. Sounds better, different type of pickups, and necks and all feel different. The Vintera 2 60's Strat is better than the Players 2. American Professional 2 has VMod 2 pickups.

For that song the Strat obv gonna sound better, I’d probably take the Strat anyways bc the Les Paul shape is club uncomfortable for me

comparing a 6k guitar to a 500k guitar is like comparing a G-Shock to a Rolex. You don't pay 6k for the sound. that comes out of a $150 pickup. you pay 6k for the "gibson" on the headstock

are you still in drop A and D? I bought my first 7 string from Kiesel. My original thought was to extend for some Nick Johnston type of instrumentals. I'm a old newbie to the 7 and am researching along with trying not to get lost on the fret board.

You know what? I didn’t think of frusciante until you mentioned it which is funny cuz everyone I mentioned played Strats with Maple fret boards and his was rosewood.

What makes this guitar special is the break angle of the strings is closer to the bridge. That eliminates some of of the obvious Jazzmaster issues such as strings popping off the saddles. Look how much closer the J Mascis jazzmaster tremolo is to the bridge. Steeper break angle.
