Does anyone else also find motivation letters quite unappealing? Do we still need them? Yes. Are they are important? Yes. Will I write one now? Yes.. But I just find them, surprisingly, so devoid of personality. Despite being statements of character and personal history, they somehow fall flat on all that. I just dread making and reading these things.

I think it's because we mostly only tell about our accomplishments and reasons for choosing the course. These are literally available just by test scores. We should write letters telling about our life experiences or who we are as a person.
