this is more fichte's provocation than the hegelian dialectic. Fichte's provocation was more or so the balance of opposing poles through a third symmetry as what was explained here very well from a screenwriting point of view but rather the hegelian dialectic was to recognize in one pole the symptom of the failure of the other. The film that seems to represent this the best in my eyes would have to be enemy (2013). appreciate the simplicity of this video many screenwriters could use this so thanks

Great video outlining what Craig teaches in a clear way. This approach instantly worked for me and illuminated many aspects of this craft I previously was confused about. These "models" for thinking are key and once you get them everything is simpler and you can focus on your craft instead of feeling stupid because you don't 'get it' like you should. Have you read Aristotle's Poetics like he suggested? If no you're missing out, the original sources of anything you learn in life always help make sense of their later iterations, naturally. Save the Cat also talks about the thesis-antithesis-synthesis model, by the way. Hope you find success with the new tools brother. Cheers.
