I make this sort of style, but this is a really good basis for beginners to learn from, and the fact that you can get great results just with a few simple chord progressions and well chosen instruments and choirs :) subbed you channel, keep up the great work.

EXCELLENT TUTORIAL, I'm not even interested in making ambient music, but I learned a lot here, I definitely appreciate your clear, relaxed and lucid teaching style.. Subbed, liked, ringing that bell, etc... Btw. 'IT'S' = it is. The word ITS is the possessive form. I thought you 'd appreciate that, as someone dedicated to detail...

Soule wouldn't go to the major V - i resolution every 8 bars. That kind of strong motion is usually avoided to create a timeless, ambient sound. In fact, the Skyrim soundtrack only has a few of those cadences in general.

@TableTopComposer4 ай бұрын
@paulcole1171 none of them tackle ambient music specifically, but my textbook "the musical storyteller" would give you all the basic tools you need to write any genre. There's a link to the table of contents in the product description that you can use to see if you think it's right for you :)
