Have you been invited to write a chapter for an academic book, but are not sure how to go about it? In this video, I’ll cover the characteristics of a good book chapter, provide some examples of book chapters, and give a few tips on organizing and writing a book chapter.

I've been working on two different chapters for one academic book, and I had begun to confuse myself on what I was writing and - perhaps more importantly - what the POINT was in writing each chapter for this collection. Do we need primary data to write a book chapter in the field of social science or the secondary data's are sufficient for it?? 🙏

I'm not in the social sciences field, but generally you don't have to include primary data in a book chapter (although many do take the opportunity to combine their unpublished new data with others to address a particular question).
