In this video, I am showing how to write asylum story, also called asylum personal statement. If you are applying for asylum, the personal statement is one of the main requirements for the asylum application.
So, let's write asylum statement and get it off your asylum application checklist.
Strong asylum case starts with a well written personal statement. Your asylum interview will be based on your personal statement, so make sure to put your work into it.
Here is a very good book that can further help you with the statement. It is more about the college personal statement, but, the tips that author provides, are the same tips that will help you with your asylum personal statement: amzn.to/2Mx1kbG

Also can you please show how to apply together with my life. I mean we will put these papers and forms in an envolpe but how. We will fill in I589 we will put exhibitA,B etc . is there any way for you to prepare a demo envelope. Thanks in advance

That is a good idea. I will do a video with demo envelope one of these days. Applying with a spouse is the same exact process as applying by yourself. You will have one main petitioner and one dependent. The statement is going to be the same for both of you. You will have to send an extra envelope for each additional family member. Also, don't forget about the copies. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello, to best cover asylum based on religion you must cover past persecution, present persecution, and future persecution. It’s best to obtain Notarized statement letter’s from people who witnessed your persecution. Documents in support of your membership to your church, covering your role in the church, your time with them, and any persecution they witnessed. General situation covers bases but you want to stand out and make it as personal to your experience/hardships are possible.

Yes. You do not need to translate the documents fully if for example, its a big news paper piece, only an excerpt that is important. But yes, make sure that there is a translation attached. It is also recommended to have the translation certified.

Thank you for your question. It is very common to get the application back from USCIS asking for corrections, but it is not very good that it happened with a lawyer, especially twice. What kind of corrections is USCIS asking for? In any case, I highly recommend being more involved with your case and triple checking what your lawyer is doing. And yes, if you are not happy with the layer, you can always hire a different one, you are the boss!

Outside claims are considered to be refugee claims, which is a different process. Asylum claims only apply when you file from within the country. I hope this answers your question.
