Thanks for the video. Modulation is indeed a good means for an interesting B section. But to be honest: I don't get the "my favorite key is ..." thing. I mean within the same mode, what's the difference between C major and E major? They're the same, relatively. Ok, the instruments playing in these keys, change their timbre slightly if they play half an octave above or below. But besides that what's the difference? Maybe someone can clarify that.

That's a good question! The favourite key thing is really only for people who feel certain keys in unique ways, but moreso for those with perfect pitch who associate certain keys with certain moods and feelings. For me, most of my favourite songs and pieces I listened to growing up happened to be in the key of E major, so it became my favourite to listen to and write in. But it's such a tiny thing - you can always write in whatever key you decide! :)
