Love the energy when you replay after each hack. My favorite part about this is watching you play it live on the 5 string afterwards. You created something so unique and catchy that a beginner/intermediate bass player could ACTUALLY play, with some practice, instead of some unrealistic bassline that would appear on a davie504 video. It keeps newbs like myself motivated.

You are a fantastic teacher brother! I played some bass in high school because I loved Primus and funk, but never took it seriously. Now I engineer/produce dance music predominantly and DnB more than anything else and although I do do this already (if there one thing I'm good at it's making basslines) I didn't know I was and it wasn't all the time. Now u just helped a nother piece of the puzzle snap to place. LIked and followed, you sit among very few. And some have last names like Huart and Pensado. As for your question, you are correct, in D Dorian, E is the 2 and G is the 4, and those numbers refer to the scale's spelling. We also use numbers to refer to beats. So in 4/4 you have beat 1, beat 2, beat 3 and beat 4. Beat 2 and beat 4 are called backbeats. Hope that helps clear up the confusion, Waleed! I have a quick question so D dorian is like the key of C no sharps or flats and starting the tonic on the ii. What if I have a progression thats in the key of A major but the tonic is D

Jeffrey Brown I've found some tutorial and there was not that screen from HackMusicTheory video I'm not saying that ReaperDAW is not the right program, but I wonder if the program that I already have (Sequel by Steinberg) has similar option (I'm not a fluent user at all :/) do You know if Sequel can do it? I mean to compose the melody like it is builded of bricks... pls help! ok,ok,ok I got it! I got it, I got it, I got it!!! :))))))))) it was frustrating to looking for something inside of enviroment that you are jot familiar with, but I made it!!! :) I'm more than happy, because when I shown it to my kids, they jumped immediately at the front of the laptop to compose some melody yeeeaaaaaahhhh! (that was the purpose)
