Someone get this man a million subs or something. This information is crazy helpful for beginners like me. I was struggling so much writing those funky joop guitar parts so I'm so insanely thankful for this.

Brooo this is so good thank you so much, no bs, informative, and the chords can be used to learn the theory from without it being in your face. Thank you 🙏

Your one take sounds so clean. Do u do something in post production to remove potential string noise, ringing or a little static if u get anything like that? I'm very new to recording guitar and making it sound crips as yours is so tough.
@iamindrop43 минут бұрын
@@emal7484 i usually just try to mute as much as possible with my left and right hand to avoid unwanted string noise… i also use a gate after the amp but not too extreme so i don’t kill de dynamics and that’s pretty much it, the post processing is just eq, compression and reverb. i normally don’t have very distorted tones so it’s easier to avoid noise.

Ample guitar is actually waaaay more complex, writing chords directly using sustain mode it's a waste of its potential. You should try strumming mode and play around with the articulations and the chord section (which makes writing waaayy easier and realistic) and then you can get pretty realistic results (however, the only great ample guitar tutorials are all japanese :c). Great video tho, I understand why you would prolly never use it since you are really good at playing and writing! keep it up :)

I have a feeling indrop didnt use it as a way to accommodate non-ample users 🤔since there are a lot of other guitars that don't have a direct strumming engine interface and around 90% of the time, a guitar sounding unrealistic comes from its voicing and non-strummingness. I do also think going for manual strumming, with the assumption you have full control over each note's string choice, has more control as you can vary more which dynamic layers you're playing for what part of the note

Yeah that makes sense since this tutorial is also very beginner-friendly. However I do think that rather than keeping it general, he could've focused on one vst to show the strenghts of midi (It can convince even non-guitarists that they can make something great too)

@@paquole I think indrop massively believes that. I've lurked around his discord server enough to see he just wants to show people they can make amazing music with anything noawadays :). I do wish he showed a bit of shreddage stratus free because I'm facing a massive skill issue rn.... but anyways, I do hope he goes really in depth in another video.

When playing the four middle strings, do u mute the high e string or do you just strum perciesely so u dont hit it?
@iamindrop47 минут бұрын
i always try to mute as much as possible using my left hand the right hand is also muting with the palm a bit but i usually play all 6 strings at once when strumming!
