In Modal music, a chord that precedes the I chord, and contains the "Characteristic Note" of the mode, is called a "Modal Cadence Chord."

@@thepotatoportal69 It's different. A Dominant V7 chord resolving down a fifth to a I chord would be called a "Tonal Cadence," which is the foundation of Tonal Music. A Dominant V7 to I resolution also has a much more "final/complete" sound and feeling to it than the Modal Cadences do.
