@@keemanxp sir perhaps do you know some websites where I can browse some articles and citations?
@pervaizyaseeni89374 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for spreading knowledge. I am conducting library research in the field of education. what are the differences between literature review section and findings section of library research? We use literatures and articles for both literature review section and finding section. Please the question in details. Cheers
@keemanxp4 жыл бұрын
Dear sir, in a library research or systematic literature review, the typical stages are: Step 1: Framing questions for a review Step 2: Identifying relevant work Step 3: Assessing the quality of studies Step 4: Summarizing the evidence Step 5: Interpreting the findings So unlike normal literature review, the findings section would cover pertinent patterns or themes gathered from the articles that you have reviewed earlier. This can be done either by using the Research Objectives/Questions as the guide, and provide findings to each. Or you could also decide on a framework in which you would like to analyse those articles and reporting the findings accordingly. So when you are reviewing or summarizing the evidences, you are doing it one by one. But in the findings part, you need to show the connection between them and report based on the discovered patterns/themes. Hope this helps.

May I ask about that Discussion, can I compare the previos topic, but is just partial related with my topic, not totally same with my topic. For example : My topic is how students' social life & income influence thier online spending behaviour during COVID-19. But the previos researches is : How Covid 19 affected student social life and their mental health
@keemanxp2 жыл бұрын
Yes you may, but when writing that part, do be specific about which part you're referring to in that previous research. You can kind of start off by stating the overview of the research but point specifically to the findings that you would like to make reference to, in relation to your own findings.

@@keemanxp May I ask any tips for my research type, I am doing the qualitative interview research, only 8 respondents. Should I transcript all the interview conversation in my finding? Or just transcript partial important is enough?
@keemanxp2 жыл бұрын
@@eugenengg9115 for qualitative research, due to small sample size you need to ensure the quality of the data (mainly validity) is not questionable. Hence, depending on your research objectives, if you have a set of protocols like specific questions that you asked, then you can transcribe only the parts for the questions. If you are doing thematic analysis using coding as you read the transcripts, then verbatim (full) transcription in its actual form is needed. The consistency in your coding or identifying themes would then ensure reliability of the analysis.

Thanks so much for this! Was very helpful! How would you go about writing a discussion for results found for an optimisation study?
@keemanxp3 жыл бұрын
Should be similar especially by comparing the results with previous studies. Since optimisation study is rather specific and confined to an objective, it would be good to find prior optimisation studies and offer reader a comparison.
