At the time of filming, I shot on a Canon SL2 and edited on a custom-built PC with DaVinci resolve software.

Hello! I know this is an older video but im in the process of rebuilding a 1989 xr250r as we speak and i had a question for you. My biggest concern is the right side crank case bearing. I was able to find aftermarket bearings because honda dosnt offer them anymore. But my fear is that the oem bearing has a seal on the clutch side. The new ones are open face bearings. Did you run into this problem? Thanks.

I dont think that will be a problem. I can't seem to remember what I did. I know I bought some from honda and some from a bearing distributor. Open face bearings should be fine tho

Great video! How did you get that fly wheel bolt loose? Did you hold the crankshaft on the other side somehow? Thanks

Use a soft piece of metal and put it in the teeth on the Flywheel

you can make a holder tool out of a sheet of steel or thicker aluminum that mount to the 4 bolts of the clutch basket/flywheel. Its really easy and avoids more damaging methods.

Do you need to split the case to replace countershaft oil seal ( front sprocket seal) ?? Thanks 👍
@WeekendAdventureRides
@WeekendAdventureRides 3 жыл бұрын
You do. That seal specifically has a flange that retains the seal.

How did you get your kick start assembly out? Mine is giving me problems
@WeekendAdventureRides
@WeekendAdventureRides 2 жыл бұрын
It takes a pretty good pull to get it out with the spring pressure.

Dude you butchered that nut, Looks like burnt oil in the motor.

Yeah it got replaced with a new nut. Oil was dark but not too thick or excessive deposits.
