I use channel locks on those cable locks. But the car was only 4 years old n about 50k miles. So it mighta came off easier because of that

Smaller flat head on the inside of the clip. You can see the 2 small openings at 2 and 11 o'clock at the clip. Just stick a flat head and twist slowly. Then pry ones the flat head fits in the top middle.
