How to Zero Your Rifle Scope (Easy way even if your math skills suck...)
Welcome to Firearms of America! Today, I wanted to zero an optic on my Rossi RS22 rifle, so I decided to make a how to video as well.
Here are a few things to keep in mind if you are zeroing your rifle scope or red dot optic:
1. Make sure that your optic is properly mounted (leveled and with desired eye relief).
2. I set my target at 50 meters to zero my optic. It gives you a close group for a variety of distances, and it is not too hard to work with, especially with a rifle scope that has at least x6 power. (The one I am using is x12).
3. Draw 1 inch squares on your target, approx. 1 inch is fine.
4. Do your best to hit one of the squares placing at least 5-6 shots.
5. Check the grouping. Make necessary adjustments, repeat on the next square until your group is where you want it to be.
1 MOA is 1 inch at 100 yards.
1 MRAD is 3.6 inches at 100 yards.
The rifle that I am shooting is Rossi RS22 chambered in 22LR. Here is the review:
