does the distance matters suppose the scope is zeroed at 100 yards, it will fire accurately in nearby distances such as 20-25 yards

I thought I made the wrong choice in terms of a scope because I purchased a second vocal plane scope. My dealer who is an expert told me that since I am going to use my pellet rifle for marksmanship/target shooting for a distance of no more than 300 yards that I don’t need a first vocal plane scope. He told me that there are still many marksmanship experts using second focal plane scopes and that first focal plane scopes are something of a recent invention. What’s your opinion? Great video by the way clear and simple one of the best out there.

Hello, I just bought a sidewinder 30 FFP 6-24x56 and got it mounted on a Armalite AR-50a1 and I haven’t shot it yet but will it hold up to the recoil of a 50 bmg?
