In stead of doing the measuring you can also print a target with a 10 mm raster ( or 2,54 if your scope is moa) . That way you can adjust from behind the rifle directly, without having to measure your target

You going to need a good+ range finder, binoculars to zero the scope at the wanted range for example 500 meters.

Am I correct thinking the elevation turrent will be turned CCW and the windage turrent CW for most scopes???

Some clicks are .05 mil depends on the scope.
