I still will never understand unnecessary comments from doctors. I'm a 25 year old woman and I am going through awful, horrible chronic pain. I've been to MULTIPLE doctors and I've been told " If you stop thinking about it, it might go away" "Just take some advil" "everything is normal, nothing we can do". I am just starting to see the proper specialists. It's a really long and frustrating process and I'm really sorry you guys are going through it. You guys are actually inspiring me to try the anti-inflammatory diet. Sending strength to you guys!

Jared, i have had so many similar phrases said by doctors about my hip also. It can be frustrating when some say what they do. I am dealing with hip issues and have had surgery, and im still having pain. You are in my prayers.

My 22 year old co worker had both hips replaced at 17. When she told me I couldn't believe it. She moves like any normal 22 year old. The hip replacement surgery is the most successful surgery and it has been perfected.

Not my hip but my shoulder, I'm 3 weeks out from having a total shoulder replacement at 45 years old I'm not having a good time and really questioning if I've made the best decision, they keep telling me the pain should be better by now and I'm feeling defeated bc I'm not understanding how they can say that when it is a major surgery and I know the pain I'm feeling isn't in my head. It's such a hard thing knowing whether a surgery will help or hurt you more. I am going through a similar situation, not with my hip, but another medical condition. I know there is a surgery that "could" help, but it also could make things worse. Ah, to have a crystal ball to see in the future and then hop back!

Have u tried p,t, I had hip pain from 9 ft, fall. The muscles got too tight and it helped reduce pain, While you figure out ur best option surgery wide or not ,prayers, glad ur sons toe is healing ok,

My daughter just had surgery to correct fai, and a labral tear, they also used a cadaver graft in the hip as well. She’s 16. Dancing did it to her. She’s 9 weeks out and so far so good. She was in pain for so long. I feel for you. It’s a never ending pain.

I suggested this once before, but I cannot emphasize enough that you should get an evaluation done at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. They deal with the tough cases every day and have helped many people who felt there was no hope. Good luck.

M'y daughter has LCP bilatéral Legg calve Perthes she has both hips replace at 17 they gave Her ceramiq hips . The fémur as been replace to but in titanium. They could not put IT all in titanium cause she would not be able to have kids. She has a kid at 18. She still suffer du to the hips, the main issue is the médication they gave her, it's addictive oxycodone. The hips are good for 25 years. She Do have a.better life since the operation. I have psoriatic arthritis. My knees are 90 yrs old but I’m 40. Injections are so hit and miss and no one will give me knee replacements because I’m too young 😢
