Adam Cianciarulo sounds very similar to him ridden with Injuries and a breakout season in 2019 250 mx and 2 Overalls in 450 mx 2020 finishing 2nd in the series. here we are again as he is out for another season. Bad things happen to good people its tough but thats our sport. Always respect and appreciation towards the riders, teams, mechanics, and the industry.

I’ve had the same thoughts about AC. It feels like its been a while since we’ve seen him healthy and race a full season of anything

When he got landed on, I honestly thought he was dead. That was the scariest crash I had ever seen. Always liked Trey; I wish he could have won a championship or two in the 450 class.

Trey was my favorite rider during this period. He was always PINNED, super aggressive, but clean. I never knew about his father until his recent TED talk and that brought some insight into his drive. It's probably not his personality to not go for top spot every race, but if he notched the agressive riding back to 90% he'd probably still be consistently top 5 most 450 races.

Loved this vid. Trey was one of my favs. Super smart, super tough, and one of the baddest dudes to throw a leg over a dirt bike. I was bummed he retired. Just as bummed as i was when ricky, stewart, villipoto, and dungey retired. All those guys retired way too early?! Whos next, tomac. And im super bummed grant langston was forced to quit announcing!

I was at Washougal for his second femur break there. I was standing 100 feet further up the hill. It was absolutely crazy to watch, and to top it off this old dude with an American flag jumped over the fence and started flagging for him until the track officials could get there.

That race at Millville with James put him in the all-timer category to me. I think it's probably why he wound up on the ground so much but he certainly was fast. But probably riding over his head too which is what got him in to those situations. That season when he said he was "scared" and he got 4th, that's probably where he should've been most of his career but the desire to win got him in the dirt and shortly thereafter the ambulance.

What's crazy is you look at riders like Dungey and tomac. Hardly ever have serious injuries. Trey also had great technique but yet still crashed all the time. Why is it that some go their whole career going insanely fast but yet rarely get hurt?

so rough, I feel like this is extremely common. Some athletes can have so much skill but just get injured too often to consistently compete. I wonder what it is, all of his crashes seem to be little mistakes where riders like Justin Brayton/eli tomac etc etc barely ever get hurt but at times will make the same small mistakes.

I remember his 250 titles both came because the front runners were hurt or DNF’d races so that also factors into how he is remembered.

Its crazy because besides canard, and cianciarulo etc, its been a looooong time since a rookie has come up and won their first start or multiple in their rookie year. Rookies just dont perform like they use to and usually are 5-15th place riders. Jett lawrence seems to be changing that script though even though he didnt win a title his rookie year. I get the pace is faster and equipment is better but still. These rookies are young and hungry but i think the tracks are so gnarly at this point that if you dont have at least 2-3 years experience at the factory level its near impossible to grab a W unless youre in position and guys in front make mistakes

The injuries and lack of getting to race or ride has taken the sails out of ADAM. Who is another person who could have won many Championships. I believe that it has now to the point that he isn't having fun doing it. Just too many injuries taking him out to much since turning pro can just cause the best to hang it up. I followed his AMATUER CAREER, where he pretty much beat everyone all the time. Cooper WEBB being his most FIERCE competition and who beat him some. It's already been ALOT of years of injuries. Hate it but I don't think he will ever win a Championship. His pace was not full on starting this year at all. I'm guessing he will hang it up. But I would love to see him come back and prove me wrong.

I broke my femur on a dirtbike, it wasn't that bad for some reason. Rode back to the motor home, dad drove an hour and a half to the hospital and then the worst part was the 4 month recovery because of where I broke it.
