This is something I would’ve told to my younger self! I cannot imagine how many experiences and people I missed out on because I was trying so hard “to not be like everybody else“. There are tons of things that I like that other people don’t like and vice versa because everybody’s different and everybody has different interest, but it does not make you less than or lame to like something that a lot of people like. Usually there’s a reason why so many people like it.

I actually had this video embedded in my vision board on Notion for this year after watching it once and loving it. But I haven't revisited it until now, as I reflect on my year. Funny enough, the message resonates even more deeply this time around. I struggled to create more than I consumed. I was stuck in planning mode and constantly comparing myself to other artists I admired. When you shared your experience about seeing other influencers doing what you do, I felt that so much. First of all, you look GORGEOUS! But also, thank you so much for getting to point where you didn’t listen to all of the reasons why NOT to start this channel. I am quite new here but I appreciate you and your insight so much. I recently watched a video where you spoke about basically having to keep our promises to ourselves since we get to a point where we can get so used to letting ourselves down/letting ourselves get away with excuses that it becomes our normal and BOY! Were you talking to ME!!! Piggybacking off of the work that I’ve been doing since that video, this one is also one that I REALLY needed to see. No one in this world gets in my way more than I do and it’s crazy realising how, after truly understanding and recognising years worth of patterns, everything I want is honestly so attainable. I’ve gotten so used to giving myself a day off, which becomes a week off, which becomes MONTHS off of whatever it is I try to encourage myself into doing that even when I REALLY want to get into consistently showing up for myself it’s abundantly harder. I’ve been showing up for myself more now though and as difficult as it is to unlearn these patterns, I’m grateful that I’m seeing a difference little-by-little which in turn goes a long way in encouraging me even more.
