This is their MCR (Master Control Room), as well as their engineering control room (they can monitor and control their transmitters remotely). If you have heard the terms simulcast and syndicated broadcast, they control it all over here-including coordination with affliated stations, especially in different time zones, like in the mainland United States. 0:55 - That is the IRD, or satellite links. When you see the terms "Live via Satellite" on the screen, this is where they transmit or receive their video feeds.

The blue rack in the third cabinet is the SAGE ENDEC(encoder/decoder) for the Emergency Alert System. This is the box that's *required* by FEMA to be installed in every station and you can either encode your messages, for example RWTs, but they can also decode messages sent by other stations, such as NPTs. Most of the stations use decoding part to relay messages from other sources, like FEMA and local administrations.
