From United’s Clever Strategy to its newly added features that are simply Genius, this is How United Became so Dangerously Powerful.
And to start with, United revealed its new innovation called the air taxi. Just as it sounds, United mentioned that the idea was to fly people from the city centers such as New York and Chicago to major airports using a 4-seater electric air taxi. The flight will take only 10 minutes and its cost will be similar to that of a regular Uber fee. Now that's crazy!
But what’s even crazier is United’s new Investment, which is so incredible that it will even change the whole aviation industry forever!

Still amazed how "gettin a seat" is considered revolutionary in the USA.

Lots of information in a brief amount of time. Kudos and thank you for creating this video! 😊 My only suggestion for improvement would be to mention that United briefly created a “lower cost” airline called TED. I remember United workers protesting at airports with signs that read “cheaTED”. I know you can’t possibly include everything in a brief video, so this isn’t a criticism, and again I thank you for creating this video. I just think that "the TED event" was an impactful and memorable episode in the history of United.

Ever since the merger with continental which technically came in 2010 not 2012, I feel like United has improved a lot on its transparency, and really effort overall to provide globe wide travel options for customers. Bringing in large handfuls of new planes like the dreamliners in 2011/2012 ish and max 9s in 2018, max 8s in 2021 ish and 321s in the near future and these "taxis" in the next few years too. The more amount of planes overall there are the better. Obviously some things have been a little sketchy like the doctor incident in 2017 and the private plane thing earlier this summer but overall they mean very well and ofc no airline is perfect. DELTA always will be the best though!

Get real air taxis are not viable as lithium batteries are a danger this would not get past the Faa safety standards look at electric vehicles burning up and exploding Even United’s 787 lithium tiny batteries caught fire and the entire fleet was out of service for months until they encased the battery in a heavy metal container and they expect to do that on a entire airplane plus that technology is at least 20 years in the future 😂😂😂

Technically, United was merged with and _into_ Continental Airlines. Continental Airlines then changed its name to United Airlines. The _doctor incident_ occurred on a regional feed and it was the Chicago Aviation police that pulled the doctor off the aircraft.

Actually Continental Airlines, which merged with United in the early 2010s actually offered Newark Manhattan "airtaxi" services between 2006 and 2009 in partnership with US Helicopters.

What’s gonna keep United from beating delta is Scott Kirby and his antics. Al he cares about is making the investors money now while diminishing the brands reputation. Let’s also talk about how he treats his employees like trash. He hates unionized groups. He’s doing the same thing to United like he did American a few years ago and they Just now got a hold of their financial ground.

Agreed. United is a ruthless airline with the sole motivation of profit. All these niceties are like putting lipstick on a pig. I hope someone can one day make a video about how United employees actually treat their passengers politely and with respect--but I won't hold my breath waiting for it. In the meantime, I'll fly Delta.

Air Taxis? yeah that ain't gonna work at the same price as an uber. Not even close. United may improve but its the Delta people that make it different. United can't duplicate the Delta culture.

How about if airlines actually go back to caring about the passenger and putting their safety and comfort first ? How about pilots, flight attendants and other employees doing their jobs in a professional manner ? Let's begin with those changes first. Low fares mean nothing if I'm crammed in my seat like a sardine, the flight attendants have no service or people skills and don't even have a professional, well-groomed appearance, parts keep coming off the plane in-flight nd the pilots are in the cockpit, not because they were the best and most qualified but because the company bowed to the D.E.I. crowd. There was a time when the aviation business was fun, exciting and enjoyable. Get back to that and the passengers will return.

Wow! Delta and American are in a race for the worst possible passenger experience, and their priority is a new paint job. Typical for United. I'm glad for them that some passengers are fooled into thinking this is an upgrade. For myself, I'll stick with Delta where I'm actually treated like a human being.

Seems like a not well researched video. Don't get me wrong, I love United Airlines, just the way the video was made was poorly executed. It also overdramatized many aspects and did not maintain an unbiased stance.

Ewww no! The Tulip is outdated and terrible. Funny enough they kept the name UNITED because it had greater brand awareness specifically in Asian markets but kept the continental globe which had great brand awareness globally. Best of both worlds
@auricom8472

@@flori480 what makes the tulip outdated and terrible? Air Canada and JAL still use their old logo's why can't united do the same? Why not make the globe out of little golden tulips. I don't mind the globe scheme, i just think they should have more variation. I do however think that they should get rid of the globe pepper and salt shakers fucking things end up dumping all their contents out in one shake.
@ethanparker7900
@ethanparker7900 10 ай бұрын
exactly homie. the globe is better because it has a bigger meaning like you said it brings global awareness while the tulip only represents a flower and the globe is obviously more modern. Nothing can last forever. The tulip had a great run but in 2010 it was time to change it to modernize their image for the next generation for the next 30-40 years given that the tulip in 2010 was nearly 40 years old and the globe wasn't even 20 years old yet. I ofc respect all opinions but I feel like most that we see nowadays are only based off of nostalgia and emotional attachments and bring afraid of the littlest change and not reality. Plus, this particular combination was a 50/50 split between both companies so it makes sense to keep the United name but keep continentals image rather than Continentals name and Uniteds image. All in all, change is inevitable right? So good on you for saying so!😁@@flori480

@@auricom8472The tulip is from the _old_ United. That airline was absorbed into Continental Airlines during the merger. Continental Airlines then changed its name to United Airlines. This is detailed in the SEC Form 8K. It’s why the globe persists and why after the merger the crew always referred to the carrier as the _new_ United Airlines.
