Great video, my wife and i just got set of backcountry set up at the end of last season and had decided to begin this year enjoying skinning and backcountry skiing. Unfortunately, I found out i have to have a hip replacement so no skiing for me, but i pushed my wife to take her first trip skinning with her brother at Ski Santa fe a couple of weeks ago and she loved it. My hope is that my doc will clear me for next year, but for now I will be encouraging her to keep it up. thanks for the video.

Oh no!! I'm sorry to hear that. I've got some labral tearing and thinning cartilage in both my hips too, so that may be on my "one day" radar. I hope the procedure goes well for you! What backcountry setups did you both get??

@ we went with Armada skis,twin tips since we will end up spending more time at the resort. We both got Nordica unlimited boots, S/Lab shift MNC binding and of course the POMOCO skins.
